Kukri Sports Celebrates England Lacrosse’s Golden Reign as European Champions

The echo of England Lacrosse’s triumphant victory as European Champions still resonates.

A few weeks on, the exhilaration of that golden moment endures.

England Lacrosse’s senior women’s team showcased their dominance at this year’s European Championship, securing a fourth consecutive title with an impressive 107-30 goal difference over seven intense matches.

The tournament, held in Braga from 10th – 20th July, included 19 participating nations and 70 games across three venues, with one team eventually being crowned champions.

As the proud official kit supplier to England Lacrosse for five years, Kukri Sports is delighted to celebrate this historic achievement with the team.

A New Zealand School Partnership Built on Resilience and Dedication

For the past seven years, Kukri Sports has proudly partnered with Christchurch Boys’ High School (CBHS – based in New Zealand), a relationship marked by mutual respect, shared goals, and the ability to overcome challenges. Lost Cricket Kit: One of the significant challenges we faced was the loss of the CBHS 1st XI cricket kit by FedEx. With the first game only 20 days away, the clock was ticking. We immediately swung into action, remanufacturing the entire kit and ensuring its delivery before the first match. This swift response ensured that the team could take the field with pride and confidence.

Unique Baggy Hat Production: When the supplier of the iconic CBHS 1st XI cricket baggy hat ceased production, we were determined to maintain the tradition. We sourced the necessary fabric and initiated a production run of 40 hats, preserving the unique identity of the team. The result was a product that met the school’s high standards and reinforced our commitment to meeting their specific needs.

Innovative Reversible Tees: CBHS faced a persistent issue with students wearing house tees during PE classes. We introduced a single-layer reversible tee, with house colors on one side and PE colors on the other. This innovative solution not only resolved the problem but also became a game-changer for the school, simplifying uniform management and ensuring consistency.

Emergency Scarf Supply: When the school’s scarf supplier discontinued their product, we stepped in to deliver a double-layered wool scarf in time for the college day event. This timely intervention highlighted our ability to provide high-quality products under tight deadlines.

The strength of our partnership goes beyond mere problem-solving. It is built on regular, meaningful interactions and a deep understanding of the school’s needs. Craig Dunnett, Deputy Principal of CBHS, encapsulates this sentiment:

From attending important school events, getting to know staff, and making regular visits, they help us both deal with any issues that arise. Kukri Sports and British Gymnastics Sign Record Teamwear Deal to Extend Purpose-Driven Partnership

Kukri Sports, is thrilled to announce a new partnership extension with British Gymnastics, the national governing body for gymnastics in the UK. This landmark agreement will see Kukri and British Gymnastics collaborate with a strong focus on purpose and impact. The new deal will see the partnership last for at least 8 years.

As part of this historic deal, Kukri will continue as the Official Teamwear Partner of British Gymnastics, supplying official teamwear for gymnasts and coaches representing Great Britain internationally across all gymnastics disciplines. This includes artistic gymnastics, trampolining, tumbling, DMT, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, and TeamGym. Additionally, Kukri will provide teamwear for recreational gymnastics display festivals such as Gymnaestrada and EuroGym.

For the first time, British Gymnastics will be able to offer items of free performance teamwear to all GB teams, uniting athletes and coaches across all disciplines with a sense of pride as they represent their country.

In addition to outfitting elite teams, Kukri and British Gymnastics will work together to connect with British Gymnastics’ 1,400 member clubs and nearly 400,000 members. This partnership aims to extend the benefits of Kukri’s high-quality kit to the broader community, including the introduction of official replica kits for the first time.

KUKRI SPORTS’ PARTNERS SHINE IN THIS YEAR’S WORLD SCHOOLS NETBALL CUP

Kukri Sports is proud to celebrate the performances of our partners Dubai College, Dubai English Speaking College, and Truro School at this year’s World Schools Netball Cup.

The tournament, held annually at Loughborough University (another key partner of the company), took place from 27-29 June with teams from across the globe competing in three action-packed days of Netball action.

The World Schools Netball Cup is part of The World School Games Event series, a series of events that provides a unique step for the world’s best young athletes to compete with and against each other across multiple different sports including Netball, Basketball, Swimming & Football.

Partners show their talent

Our partners from across the world, Dubai College, Dubai English Speaking College and Truro School all competed in this year’s event with teams of various ages participating.

Performing in their Kukri netball dresses designed for maximum comfort and performance, our partners all secured impressive finishes.

Dubai College’s U17 team earned a silver medal, while DESC’s U13 and U15 teams achieved podium finishes in the bowl and plate competitions.

Truro School also showcased their talent against strong competition, with their second- and fourth-year teams impressing throughout.

Commenting on the experience, Lucia Sdao, Director of Netball at Dubai College, praised the high competition level and valuable experiences gained. “It was another outstanding tournament for Dubai College.

“We were pleased with the high level of competition this year and, once again, many memories were made and valuable experiences were gained as we prepare for the 2024/25 season.”
