Kukri Sports is delighted to welcome Harriet Court as one of the newest Youth Talent Programme Ambassadors.
A rising star in athletics, Harriet specialises in javelin and has already achieved significant milestones in her career. With aspirations of competing at international events like the World Championships and Olympics, Harriet embodies the values of determination and passion.
How did you first get involved in athletics?
“Since an early age, I’ve been passionate about sports, participating in tennis, football, and netball. Wanting to try something different, I joined my local athletics club at age 11. I initially trained in all events, but for the 2024 season, I decided to specialise in javelin.”
What club and school are you associated with?
“I’m proud to compete for Paddock Wood AC and currently study at Tonbridge Grammar School.”

What has been your proudest moment in athletics so far?
“My proudest athletic moments include winning championships like the English Schools and School Games, representing England at the International School Games in Wales, and achieving a personal best throw of 52.28m.”
What are your long-term goals in athletics?
“My long-term goal is to compete at the international level, aiming for events like the World Championships or Olympics. To achieve this, I plan to focus on consistent training, setting clear performance targets each season, and continuously improving my technique, strength, and mindset.”
Who are your role models in athletics?
“My role model is Jan Železný because of his dedication to constantly improving his technique to throw further than anyone thought possible. His mindset inspires me to focus on refining my own skills and pushing my limits in training and competition.”

“Being a Kukri Sports YTP Ambassador means representing a brand that supports young athletes like me in pursuing our goals. It’s an opportunity to inspire others, showcase my journey, and promote the values of dedication, resilience, and passion that Kukri embodies.”
