EUAN MURRAY

Kukri Sports is proud to introduce Euan Murray as one of the newest Youth Talent Programme Ambassadors.

A determined and inspiring F64 para-athlete, Euan competes in the 100m and 200m events with dreams of one day reaching the Paralympic Games.

How did you first get involved in athletics?

“I have always been active from a young age, enjoying activities like triathlon and biking. When I was ten years old, I got my first running blade and joined my local athletics club, where I participated in the children’s track sessions casually.

As I grew older, a coach encouraged me to join the group for older children, which led me to take my training seriously. From there, I began to see my potential and the room for improvement, and I haven’t looked back since.”

What club and school are you associated with?

“I’m proud to compete for Team Bath AC and currently attend Prior Park College.”

What events do you compete in?

“I focus on the 100m and 200m events.”

What has been your proudest moment in athletics so far?

“My proudest moment was beating two of my closest rivals to win the 100m final at the UKA Coventry Spring Meet. It was a rewarding experience and a testament to the hard work I’ve put into my training.”

What are your long-term goals in athletics?

“My ultimate goal is to reach and succeed at the Paralympic Games. I plan to achieve this through consistent training, perseverance, and by always striving to improve.”

Who are your role models in athletics?

“Jonnie Peacock is my biggest role model. His speed, hard work, and commitment are incredibly inspiring. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet him twice, and both times I was struck by his dedication to achieving the best results possible. I hope to follow in his footsteps and achieve as much as he has, if not more.”

What does becoming a Kukri Sports YTP Ambassador mean to you?

“Being a Kukri Sports YTP Ambassador is an incredible honour. It’s a responsibility I take seriously, as it’s my role to represent the brand in the most positive light possible. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity.”
