Amy Thompson, the UK’s number one F41 shot putter, has been with Kukri Sports for two years and recently became a full brand ambassador. A rising star in para-athletics, Amy’s journey began at age three with Dwarf Sports Association, and she started throwing at club level for Challenge Disability in Liverpool at age seven.
Born with Achondroplasia, Amy has overcome every challenge to excel in her sport, including winning gold at the Italian Para Athletics Grand Prix, co-captaining England at the Home Countries U20 International and recently being crowned ambulant shot put champion at the Senior Para Championships.
Most recently, Amy represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland in her international debut at the World Para Athletics Championships. She came just shy of a personal best to finish seventh – an incredible achievement following her rapid rise to the world stage over the past 12 months.
As a Kukri ambassador, Amy continues to push her limits, inspire others, and embody the brand’s ethos to ‘Unleash Greatness.’
