Huge congratulations to the fantastic U11 team making their first rugby steps at Belfast Harlequins U11s! These future rugby stars travelled to Windermere for the International Mini Rugby Series and played out of their skin, winning the Final over fellow Kukri team Southport RFC in a fantastic Kukri derby.

One of the Quins coaches, John Houston tells us all about a great trip for the club:
"We took 2 teams to The International Mini Rugby Tournament in Windermere . After 5 years together this was to be the last time this group was to play together as mini's before splitting up into various different schools, so for many reasons Windermere was special . The event was very well run and the competitive camaraderie between all the teams was fabulous - the kids had a ball . Better still , one of our teams won all 6 games scoring 32 tries and only conceding 2 playing some magnificent rugby on the way to eventually being crowned overall Champions which certainly spurred on the singing on the coach and ferry trip on the homeward journey."

"I would like to thank the organisers for a great tournament but especially all the kids for making the weekend so special , also Kukri whose kit we have worn for every match during our 5 wonderful years together in Belfast Harlequins Mini Rugby."
