When Ennis RFC youngster Oliver Cassidy went to watch his Ireland Rugby heroes at Landsdown Road Stadium on Saturday, he ended up with two souvenirs - one wanted, and one not!
He was hit in the face by a wayward Ronan O'Gara practice kick during the warm-up prior to the game, and was taken to the medical centre to be assessed by first aiders.
His father, David, told the Irish Independent: "He got hit in the nose and it started pumping blood."
It wasn't all bad news for Oliver though. After the game, he and his dad were asked by a steward to stay behind. "We were brought out to the middle of the pitch and a girl came out and gave Ollie the match ball signed by Ronan O'Gara. Unfortunately Ronan couldn't come out but we were still delighted!"
