Millfield - one of Britain's top schools has just signed a three year sportswear deal with the international sportswear brand, Kukri.
The three year deal will see the Somerset school kitted out from head to toe in bespoke kit for playing, training and leisure wear. Special items and designs will also be introduced to celebrate Millfield and their alumni.
Millfield School's mission statement is 'to be the best all round school in the world' - a bold statement indeed - but one that Kukri really relates to.
Kukri's Managing Director Phil Morris: "We are absolutely delighted to be chosen by Millfield School as their sportswear partner, as one of the leading sports schools in the world, this partnership is an absolute privilege for Kukri. Many of Britain's finest sports stars are educated through the school's fantastic facilities from my own hero Gareth Edwards to the current breakthrough talent in England Cricket Craig Kieswetter and many others.
Kukri are honoured that from now on Millfield students will experience Kukri's passion and commitment to consistently provide the best looking and performing sportswear for all our partners, in every sport that they may choose!"
The partnership looks set to be a very strong one from the outset with both sides sharing similar, if not identical, beliefs. Millfield's Director of Sport, Graeme Maw: "We are delighted to be entering into such an extensive association with one of the world's leading sportswear companies. Like ourselves, Kukri has a willingness to challenge convention in developing individualised apparel for a wide range of sports. At Millfield we have a tradition for being forward thinking, promoting excellence and being leaders. Kukri compliment this perfectly and the association will further enhance our respective communities."
Kukri's Teamwear Sales Director, Scott Gamble commented: "There is a clear synergy with our partnership. Millfield is a flagship account for us within the Independent schools market and the national recognition that comes from the association will unquestionably raise the profile of the Kukri brand. In turn, as experts of bespoke design we feel we can further enhance Millfield's identity and have designed an exclusive style line to run throughout the school's sportswear range to support this. We look forward to delivering an unrivalled level of service and in doing so, hope to see the Millfield crest and Kukri Chang side by side for many years to come."
The official Kukri/Millfield sportswear partnership launch took place on Thursday 22nd April at 11.30am in the Gaskell Room at Millfield School.
