England's under 17 netball squad have just returned from Gibraltar as European Champions and it makes it all the sweeter as they wore their Kukri kit with pride!
England took the title after trouncing Scotland 63-8, Wales 52-8 and Northern Ireland 62-15.
One of the rising stars in the squad is 17 year old Jenna-Louise Astwood who has been playing netball since she was 10 years old and has steadily progressed through the ranks and now represents her country.
Jenna lives in Southport, plays and trains for Oldham, as well as Northern Thunder and travels all over the country to play......but she's dedicated and she loves it.......she's a real team player and that's what we love here at Kukri!
Jenna commented: "All the hard work and training over the last 12 months was all worth it, getting to wear the England dress and represent my country was an experience I will never forget. My training has not stopped, I have my Easter camp at Loughborough University in April and I'm now fighting for a place in the under 19 squad. I have a busy year ahead with touring Australia with my prem club Oldham for 4 weeks in August and on my return will trial again for a place in Superleague's Northern Thunder squad."
Phew Jenna! that all sounds exhausting...but exciting!
Jenna added: "A huge thank you to Kukri for their fab fitting dresses and how well turned out we all looked in the Kukri tracksuits, not forgetting our Kukri kit bags!"
Another raving Kukri fan! Well done Jenna you are looking good girl! Good luck and well done!
