It's what you can't do that makes it what it is. You can't hold the ball for more than three seconds or tap it to yourself more than twice or catch it and drop it and pick it up again and sorry you can't run with it either, so the only way to get it to the goal is pass it to your team mate. The rules clearly state that netball is the real team game.
