Donned in Kukri gear and of the belief that they would "look smart play smart", England's Lacrosse squads dismissed all other teams in the Prague Cup with the exception of the USA Elite squad. The two equally split England teams, named 'Hope' and 'Glory', were able to clinch the silver and bronze medals. Meanwhile, their very young team scooped up the silver medal at the European Championship in Lahti, Finland.
England Team Manager, Lois Richardson, added: "The stunning colours and flattering fit and style of Kukri's dynamic uniforms drew flattering comments from opposition teams and spectators alike in both Prague and Lahti. England players were delighted with the easy and comfortable performance of the kit; the slick matching up of all the various combinations was especially pleasing and made the Kukri clothing a pleasure to wear as well as displaying the professionalism of English lacrosse."
She continued: "England are delighted to be planning their World Cup kit with Kukri for the 2009 World Cup as Kukri help them create that much needed and desired exclusive look."
Kukri's North West Sales Manager, Jamie Williams, added: "I am delighted that we have now put pen to paper on a 4 year deal with the women's national team. So far it has been a joy to work with such an organised outfit who are showing plenty of promise ahead of the world cup next year. We have made sure that the designs we have offered England are unique so those players lucky enough to represent their country can feel and look the part."
