Congratulations to our friends at the University of Leicester on their recent success in the Varsity series against De Montfort University! The series consisted of 37 games, and Leicester will have been delighted to come out on top in the overall results - they won 25 matches to De Montfort's 10, with 2 draws.

Perhaps the highlight of the series came last Wednesday (21st March) as Leicester's Ladies Rugby team came out on top by a scoreline of 25-5 at Welford Road, home of Leicester Tigers - in front of around 4000 supporters! This was the latest triumph for a proud club which can now boast an unbeaten record in 10 Varsity games, stretching back to 2003 - top work, team!

Varsity season is eagerly anticipated throughout the year, so a big 'well done' to all the participants for their hard work and preparation throughout the year!
