A cricket loving Kukri posse was out in force on Saturday night to watch former England cricket legend Derek Underwood officially 'open the nets' at Merchant Taylors' Boys' School in Crosby ahead of their first ever Hall of Fame Dinner.
Merchants' boys, looking very smart in their Kukri Cricket kit, practiced in the nets in front of dozens of former pupils, cricket legends and cricket lovers from as far afield as Australia.
Once the demonstration was over, everyone joined together for an Edwardian evening to celebrate the cricketing achievements of former pupils.
The Kukri entourage had a great evening which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
Merchants' Head of Cricket, Simon Sutcliffe commented: "Wearing cricket clothing of the highest quality and bespoke design provided by Kukri Sports has given the Merchant Taylors' cricket teams a sense of identity and team spirit which has enhanced their performance and given them a pride in representing the School. All the boys want to get into the teams so that they can wear the kit and look the part."
